Customer Service and Satisfaction. Catacan Tech strives to provide not only high-quality products and service but also superb customer service. We stand behind our products and will do our best to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Return Policy. Any item which is found to be defective can be returned within 7 days (14 days for online purchases) to be replaced or credited for the purchased price. Please include the original Catacan Tech Ltd. invoice for all credits and exchanges. Customers who purchase online may send a copy of their invoice instead of the original. All products to be returned for exchange or credit must have their complete original packaged materials including any manuals, printed materials, disks, and cabling. All returned goods must be in resalable condition, inspected and approved by our staff. Within 7 days of purchase (14 days for online purchases), items may be returned under the following conditions: - Defective products may be returned for exchange1 or credit.
- Opened or used products will be subject to a restocking charge of a minimum of 15%.
- Cooling products are subject to a 25% restocking charge.
- Ethernet cables in resalable condition are subject to 20% restocking charge
- There are no credits or exchanges on all printer cartridges/toners, blank media CD/DVD/etc.), opened software, OEM software, headsets and all cables excluding ethernet cables.
- Catacan Tech Ltd. reserves the right to charge higher restocking fees in special circumstances, such as damaged packaging, missing CD, etc.
- Physically damaged products will not be accepted.
After 7 days from purchase (14 days for online purchases), Catacan Tech Ltd. will only accept defective products for warranty service (see warranty policy below). There are no exchanges or credits on new, used, opened, unopened, or defective products after 7 days (14 day period for online purchases). All warranty periods indicated are from Catacan Tech Ltd., unless otherwise noted, and are limited by the manufacturer's warranty policies. Actual manufacturer warranty periods may vary depending on product and manufacturer and may be longer than the warranty period covered by Catacan Tech Ltd.. Please refer to the Manufacturer's web site or product manuals/packing for more information. Generally the manufacturer’s limited warranty will only cover the product for manufacturing defects and will not cover any physical damage to the product from misuse, accident, physical damage etc. To receive warranty service on any product from Catacan Tech Ltd., the product must be presented with the original invoice and inspected by our technicians (for online purchases, see below). If the product is found to be defective, you will be provided with a direct exchange2 or may be requested to fill out an RMA form so that we may send the item to the supplier/manufacturer for warranty service in which case the product may be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer’s discretion. The estimated wait time is 2-6 weeks. You will receive a copy of the RMA form for your records. Catacan Tech Ltd. reserves the right to refuse the release of any items without the proper RMA form. Online Purchases: For products purchased online, please contact us by phone (905.787.9503 or 905.717.5428) or email (catacan.tech@catacan.com). If a technician is unable to resolve the problem over the phone or email, and concludes the product is defective or requires testing, you (the customer) will be given an RMA reference number. Please ship the product back to us with a copy of the invoice and the RMA reference number within 7 days upon being issued this number. Catacan Tech recommends that appropriate measures are taken to safeguard the product from damage during shipping, as Catacan Tech Ltd. does not warrant a physically damaged product. Catacan Tech Ltd. does not accept packages COD. Catacan Tech Ltd. will cover complete shipping charges (standard ground shipping) within 14 days of the product leaving our warehouse in the unlikely event that a product is dead on arrival (DOA). This includes both OEM and retail. Catacan Tech will reimburse up to 50% if non-standard shipping is used, such as Express. After the initial 14 day period, there may be a longer waiting period (2-6 weeks depending on the product) for receipt of a replacement or repaired item back from the manufacturer. Catacan Tech Ltd. will pay shipping charge for returning any product to the customer for up to 90 days for OEM products and 30 days for retail products from the original shipping date. Please note that some products may have less than a 90 day warranty. It is recommended that customers deal directly with the manufacturer for all defective retail products as they may be able to provide a faster replacement. Catacan Tech can help facilitate warranty service between the customer and manufacturer for retail items, but will not cover any expenses incurred for warranty service after the first 14 days of purchase. For OEM products that have a one year warranty, Catacan Tech Ltd. does not cover shipping charges after the first 90 days. At no time after the 14-day DOA period will Catacan Tech Ltd. cover the shipping cost for shipping the product from the customer to us. Should a returned product be found not defective, return shipping costs will be covered by the consumer. Catacan Tech Ltd. is limited to the service level provided by the manufacturer or supplier, please read your product warranty information carefully before contacting us.
